Bolton Berhad has appointed a construction company for the main building works of Surin by Bolton luxury condominium, their maiden project in Penang.

The awarded contract involves the structural construction of the twin-towered 28-storey Surin development on a five-storey car park. Completion of the entire project is scheduled early 2012.

Surin by Bolton will feature 390 residential units situated by the hills overlooking the open sea. Split into two phases, Tower B with 198 units was launched in July 2008 and has an 80 percent take-up rate. All six penthouse units in Tower B were sold out. This response has spurred the launch the remaining units in Tower A in end August 2009.  

According to the developer, the development has attracted strong interests from foreign buyers apart from local buyers.

Bolton executive director Chan Wing Kwong says, “Despite this being Bolton’s maiden venture in Penang, we are pleased to note a growing number in foreign purchases from international investors such as those from Hong Kong and Singapore. They like our project’s concept and are drawn to the beach-fronting locale of Surin.”

Prices of the residences at Surin by Bolton range from RM374,988 to RM1.2 million while built-ups range between 1,307 sq ft and 2,827 sq ft. Amenities at the condominium include a rooftop garden, infinity swimming pool, gymnasium and barbeque facilities.
