Sri Lingga Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Meda Inc Berhad is
launching an alternative investment property in Kuala Linggi Melaka. Called the
Nusa Swiftlet Eco-City, it is a swiftlet-house development that promotes modern
swiftlet cultivation.
Priced at RM688,000 each, every swiftlet house is a
three-storey building equipped with swiftlet cultivation devices built on
one-acre land. According to its brochure, every unit is capable of yielding RM965,500
worth of birds’ nests in seven years.
Investors have a choice to attempt the swiftlet
cultivation themselves or opt for a managed service by Golden Swift Resources
(GSR), a swiftlet cultivation techniques and management consultant. Under the
managed service, GSR will manage, harvest, process, package and market the
property and its product for the owner of the property in return for a share of
profits.
