Green roof solution provider Monier has taken its CoolRoof innovation to Johor where it has set up a showroom, its flagship for the southern region. The move also included a road show in Johor Bahru where melting ice sculpture demonstrations with monitoring devices in mock-up homes are used to compare temperature differences between normal roofs and Monier CoolRoof.
The CoolRoof has been proven to reduce air-conditioning usage up to 60% resulting in monthly savings of up to 30% in electricity bills, said its press release.
“Our Monier CoolRoof is the perfect roof solution in this tropical heat. Now everyone can stay cool without having to always rely on air-conditioners,” said Mr Georg Harrasser, chief executive officer of Monier Asia Pacific.
