Bangsar South - Changing the Face of Kerinchi
Oct 12, 2010

Established developer UOA recently unveiled its flagship development, Bangsar South, to the media. Phase 1, comprising 2 towers – Acacia and Begonia, was completed ahead of schedule in July 2010 with residents already occupying some of the units. The launch also saw 3 showrooms with different themes being unveiled, namely Contemporary, Classic and Tropical themes. The ID themes are offered as options to busy investors who may not have the time to do up their own interior design.

The 60-acre Bangsar South City was conceptualized in 2006 and construction work started in 2008, with all the phases expected to be completed in 2020. There is already evidence that the units have appreciated by almost 70% since its launch 2 years ago!

Buyers mostly Malaysians

Most buyers are Malaysians, according to the company’s Sales Manager, Chris Stanley. He added that many brand name retail stores have already opened up at the Sphere, a lifestyle shopping mall located nearby. They are Carrefour, Maxis, RHB Bank, San Francisco Coffee and Home-Fix. “It will forever change the face of Kerinchi,” he said.

Additionally, residents will be able to enjoy MSC status privileges after the area was granted MSC status in January.

The MSC Malaysia Cybercentre @ Bangsar South City, covering the entire 30 acres of the commercial parcel, is a designated MSC Malaysia area providing a conducive environment to attract Information and Communications Technology (ICT) investors worldwide whilst promoting the growth of local ICT and MSC Malaysia status companies.

Strategically located off the Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway and Kerinchi Link, Bangsar South consists of residential, commercial and retail components, and will be the address for a population of over 35,000 when fully developed.
