White knight to rescue PKA Project at Taman Datuk Abdul Hamid
Mar 23, 2011
Dermaga Suasa Sdn Bhd (DSSB) announced it has received the green light from Port Klang Authority (PKA) to revive the Intania project in Taman Datuk Abdul Hamid in Klang.
DSSB director Nasarruddin M Zin said DSSB as the original developer has agreed to PKA’s new terms and conditions regarding the revival of the abandoned project on what used to be PKA senior staff quarters.
The 1995 project was originally a joint-venture project between PKA and DSSB but it was stopped due to the 1997 financial crisis.
Legenda Erajuta Sdn Bhd (LESB) has been appointed the white knight to rescue this abandoned project.
“We undertake to complete and deliver the incomplete property at the site within six months. This will be fantastic news for buyers who have committed their money for more than 3 years without knowing when their investment will be satisfied, “said DSSB director Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas.
He also announced that DSSB and LESB will be developing 1Gateway, a new commercial centre in Klang.
“We are looking forward to bring new business energy, lifestyle vibrancy and a bright new era into this prime area of Klang. PKA will recoup more than the land value when this project is launched and we have no doubts of its success. All previous conditions of the joint venture will be fulfilled and all stakeholders will be on a win-win situation,” he commented on the new development.
1Gateway is located on 17.27 acres of land between Persiaran Raja Muda Musa and Lebuh Turi in Klang. The development consists of 117 units of shoplexes (duplex shoplots), 140 units of shop offices, an anchor lot, a mini anchor lot, a cineplex, a 31-storey office tower and a 31-storey tower housing Novotel Hotel managed by Accor, the world’s leading European brand in hotels.
LESB is a subsidiary of Sagajuta (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, Sabah’s leading developer of the iconic 1Borneo (the largest lifestyle hypermall in East Malaysia), 1Sulaman, Warisan Square and Kingfisher Ujana in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
