Buildtechasia 2011 sets pace for construction innovation in Asia

With major players in the building and property sectors continuing to divert resources towards Asia, the inaugural BuildTechAsia 2011 is making its debut to further drive the momentum in the region's construction industry.

Featuring more than 120 exhibitors from eight countries, BuildTechAsia 2011, which was officially launched by Tan Tee How, permanent eecretary, Ministry of National Development, Singapore, is expected to attract close to 8,000 trade participants over three days, said its organiser, Sphere Exhibits in a statement yesterday.

Held in conjunction with the Singapore Construction Productivity Week, BuildTechAsia 2011 presents the most up-to-date technologies across diverse segments of the building and construction industry, with a strong focus on technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in building and construction.

Autodesk and Tekla, two of the leading construction IT specialists, will showcase how building information modelling is influencing the way construction projects are managed today. – Bernama
