Metro Kajang says it has sold all non-Bumi lots and now only 18 Bumi lots are available.
Even before the launch, some 70 per cent of the houses in the Sentosa Heights project were taken up, partly due to their location, which is close to amenities such as hospitals, shopping mall, highways and even schools.
Developed by Serba Sentosa Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned unit of Metro Kajang Holdings Bhd (MKH), the housing project is within a 10km radius of the prime Kajang Central Business District area.
"We have sold all our non-Bumi lots and now only the Bumi lots are left, which total about 18 units," said MKH group managing director Eddy Chen Lok Loi at the property launch.
He said the group plans to increase their marketing strategy to attract more Bumiputera buyers to purchase homes by ways of participating in exhibitions and through advertisement campaigns.
The leasehold houses at Sentosa Kajang comes with a 7 per cent Bumi discount, however buyers who booked the house on the launch day were entitled to additional 2 per cent discount making the total discount at 9 per cent.
Besides developing the Kajang area, Chen said the group will also introduce several new projects in Klang Valley in places such as Taman Melawati in KL.
"We have 800 acres of landbank in the Klang Valley area," he said.
On Sentosa Heights, Kajang, Chen said he believed the project would elevate the status of the Kajang township.
"These houses (in Sentosa Kajang) are not expensive. It comes with good finishing and an attractive design that can stand the test of time," he said.
Sentosa Heights consist of 62 units comprising of 46 units of semi-detached houses, 12 units of bungalows and four parcel bungalow lots with a gated and guarded concept.
The prices range from RM1.1 million to RM1.6 million. - Business Times
