RM200 mil sales inked during iProperty.com Expo
May 06, 2011
A staggering RM200 mil worth of real estate was sold at the recent iProperty.com Expo held at Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur. One of the top-selling projects was Andaman Group’s The ARC @ Cyberjaya Serviced Apartments with sales during the 3-day event making up 10% of total sales of all exhibitors at the expo. Its Head of Sales & Marketing, Dato’ (Dr) Vincent Tiew, revealed that they have sold over 55 units, and another 20 units are expected to be inked within the next 2 weeks.

“Total sales are estimated at over RM20 mil for The Arc. Another RM10 mil sales are expected from sales of our other projects. What happened was beyond our wildest dreams. Our booth was well attended over the whole three days, overwhelmingly so on Saturday and Sunday,” the marketing head said.

Dato’ (Dr) Vincent added that they are thinking of doubling up their booth space for the next expo organized by iProperty.com at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in view of the overwhelming response.

The Mid Valley expo, which ran from 29th April – 1st May showcased a huge range of property developments and resorts from Malaysia and Australia. Featured at the show are some of Malaysia’s most prominent property developers: S P Setia, Mah Sing, Sime Darby, UEM Land, I&P Group, Naza TTDI, Sunway and Hua Yang, as well as banks such as Maybank, Affin Bank and Citibank. Over 50,000 local and foreign property buyers and investors attended to preview more than 100 property developments mostly in Malaysia.

The last time iProperty.com Malaysia held a property expo in Mid Valley was in May 2010, where RM100 mil worth of properties were sold within 3 days and another RM500 million in total deals were inked post-expo. “The record sales concluded at the show are testimony that our property exhibitions continue to deliver results for our clients whilst providing an opportunity for developers to connect with property hunters,” CEO of iProperty.com group, Shaun Di Gregorio said.
