May 13, 2011
Hua Yang Berhad, a Bursa Malaysia Main Market listed property developer has acquired 1.55 acres of prime land in the Desa Pandan Commercial Centre – just minutes away from Jalan Tun Razak and the proposed KL International Financial District (KLIFD).

The piece of land is strategically located just opposite the Royal Selangor Golf Club and minutes away from Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Imbi, Jalan Ampang and several highways such as the MRR2, Maju Expressway, KL- Seremban Highway via the SMART Tunnel and the Ampang Elevated Highway.

Hua Yang will be developing this newly acquired parcel of land as a mixed serviced apartment and commercial centre, with an estimated GDV of RM160 mil.

“This is part of our overall group strategy to expand our operations in the Klang Valley, with our developments in Sungai Besi, Selayang and now, Kuala Lumpur City Centre,” said Ho Wen Yan, chief executive officer of Hua Yang Berhad.

“We are looking at a modern lifestyle concept for the project with club facilities and amenities – suitable for city dwellers who enjoy the sights and sounds of the city,” he added.

Leveraging on the excellent location, accessibility, scenic views of KLCC and the Royal Selangor Golf Club, the land will be developed into a mixture of studio units and 1 and 2-bedroom apartments.

It is also located amidst a matured neighbourhood with existing developments such as the Great Eastern Mall, Somerset Ampang, Taman U-Thant as well as foreign embassies, international schools and hospitals such as Ampang Puteri and Gleneagles.

For developments in the Klang Valley, Ho explained that the company’s strategy is to develop vertical communities, in the form of high-rise apartments, complete with retail spaces for the convenience of residents.
