The Kedah Licensed Auctioneers Organisation today launched a website to enable buyers and real estate agents select properties for bidding at public auctions.
Its president Syed Md Hazir Syed Noor said lelongharta.com list properties auctioned at courts, land offices or venues specified by auctioneers.
"Listing on lelongharta.com will help improve the prospect of properties being auctioned," he said in a statement today.
Md Hazir said it will also increase demand for properties and reduce delay cases due to lack of buyers.
The website which has been operational for one month list about 300 properties under auction in Kedah.
"We expect to list 5,000 properties within six months when lelongharta.com is expanded nationwide," he added.
He said the properties have detailed information like address, location, size, reserve price, type of holding and other restrictions and include all types of houses and land.
They include bungalows, detached houses, terraced houses, comdominiums, apartments, flats, shops, offices, factories, warehouses, workshops, residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture land. - Bernama
