Jun 23, 2011
The recently held iProperty.com Expo Luxury Collection 2011 saw more than RM275 million worth of properties sold.

The three day expo, organised by iProperty.com Malaysia, the country’s No.1 property website, exhibited some of the world’s most luxurious property developments and resorts.

Chief executive officer of the iProperty.com Group Shaun Di Gregorio said, “The record sale made at the show is a testimony that our property exhibitions continue to deliver results for our clients whilst providing them with an avenue to connect with property investors not just from Malaysia but from all around the world.”

One development that generated the highest amount of sales amounting to RM38 million was Twin Pavilion Development Sdn Bhd. The highly sought after property located in Bangsar sold more than 70 units.

Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd recorded a total of RM11 million in sales for The Arc in Cyberjaya which gives investors a minimum 8% annual investment return up to 25 years.

Ranking in third was SP Setia Bhd with sales amounting to RM5 million for various properties under their name.

Aside from the property exhibition, the launch of Southeast Asia’s first Android property search app by iProperty.com Malaysia also left many in awe.

Di Gregorio said, “iProperty.com Malaysia is committed to enhancing the experience of property buyers and investors, including meeting the future needs of our customers and consumers and we are extremely thrilled to be the first in Southeast Asia to launch the Android app for property search.”

He said statistics showed approximately 7% of visitors to the iProperty.com.my website uses a mobile device and agents receive thousands of enquires from mobile apps and website every month.

“With this latest addition, everyone now has the convenience of searching through over 255,500 properties that are either on sale or rent without any hassle, anywhere and at any time, all at the touch of their fingertips, “ added Di Gregorio.

A unique feature of the Android app is its GPS-supported feature which enables users to view in real time properties on the market near their current location via Google Maps.

Users can view the search results on the list or map, and then use the directions given to go the actual site of the property.

In conjunction with the launch, iProperty.com Malaysia gave away a Motorola Xoom with wifi, valued at RM2,118, during a lucky draw contest. June Hang from Penang won the prize.

Another eye-catching innovation was the interactive state-of-the-art augmented reality 3D demonstration, an iProperty.com Malaysia collaboration with Grey Direct and Interactive Sdn Bhd, which brought a new dimension to how one can view, interact with and experience properties via the digital medium.

The expo also hosted investment forums and seminars on property related topics.

The most popular seminar that saw an overwhelming response from visitors was by Kenneth Yu, chief marketing officer of PuppetStringMarketing.com who shared on “Social Media Money Machine: The Quickest Easiest Way to Experiencing Big Fat Real Estate Commissions”.
