The government has acquired 19.77 acres of land in Pulai, Johor to make way for the proposed Johor Baru-Nusajaya Coastal Highway project. The plot was purchased from Bandar Nusajaya Development Sdn  Bhd, a unit of UEM World Bhd, for a compensation sum of RM6.8 million.

The compulsory acquisition, done on September 8, has resulted in a gain on disposal of approximately RM2.2 million to UEM World.
