Bandar Utama Development Sdn Bhd is moving towards upmarket developments with plans to build semi-detached houses and bungalows, after its recent launch of the Megaria link houses in Bandar Utama.
Director Datuk Teo Chiang Hong said the company is contemplating the idea of building semi-dees or bungalows due to the big demand for such properties.
“We are researching on this. Higher-end developments will bring more prestige and value to Bandar Utama,” he added.
The company is planning to launch about 200 semi-dees and bungalows on a 20-acre plot of land that was earmarked for two or more phases of link houses by the end of 2008.
Bandar Utama will also focus on building more condominiums with construction on the RM700 million Bukit Utama 9 to be completed by the end of 2009.
Situated on 20-acres, the condo will have an average size of 2,200sq ft and above spanned over three towers, with each tower featuring 300 units.
While the completed 136 units of two-and-a-half-storey Megaria link houses were snapped up during its launch on June 15. The units feature a rooftop garden, larger built-up areas and are boast two designs.
The 22ft x 75ft Megaria Ekstra intermediate unit offers a built-up area of 3,083sq ft and priced at RM800,000, while the 22ft x 85ft Megaria Elit Ekstra comes with a built-up area of 3,287sq ft an is tagged at RM830,000.
